Governor

The Governor is responsible for implementing state laws, overseeing executive branch operations, and directing state policy. Their primary duties are defined by the state’s constitution.

United States Representative

U.S. Congressmen (or Congresswomen) serve in the House of Representatives, representing the specific residents of their congressional district. Their core duties include drafting and voting on federal legislation, managing constituent services, and conducting oversight of government agencies.

United States Senator

U.S. Senators represent their entire state in the federal legislative branch by drafting and voting on legislation, managing the federal budget, and providing “advice and consent” on presidential appointments and treaties. Each of the 50 states elects two senators to serve six-year terms, totaling 100 members.
